‘The Department for BEIS has withdrawn the Non-Domestic RHI Regulations from Parliament due to some technical drafting issues. They will re-lay the revised non-domestic regulations as soon as possible after the Easter recess, which ends 18th April 2017. This will effect when the new regulations come into force, as it usually takes 6-8 weeks to pass this type of regulation through Parliament. Implementation of the new regulations and tariffs could, therefore, be around the end of May to mid-June, however this is down to Parliamentary schedule’
With Brexit very much at the forefront of ‘Parliamentary Schedule’ we believe the 1st July is looking more and more likely as the effective date for new tariffs, if not beyond this.
